My name is Stephanie. I am creating this profile for my mother. She is in need of a kidney.

She gets sick from her dialysis and can't function normally and is worse on her dialysis days. She has a lot of health problems that may be cleared or even resolved were she to get a kidney.

She has been on the transplant list since January 2008 and she is to the point where she feels that if she does not get a kidney soon that she will be too sick to accept one. I cannot donate because I have the same disease and everyone else in my family has been excluded due to the threat or diagnosis of diabetes.

She has been unable to work for a few years now and it has taken a toll financially on my family and were she to get a kidney she may be able to go to work part time and this may help out on some of the bills. I have tried everything to speed up the process but it's almost to the point where she is giving up.

I know that this may seem like a last resort, but I am hoping that by placing this small history on this website that we may find someone who would be able to help out my family.

We would greatly appreciate any efforts or help.
