Hello everyone. My name is Erica and I'm 35 years old.

     I have most recently been attending Erie Community College in hopes of attaining my Registered Nursing degree. I have about another year before I complete it. I've decided to take a break from it while attending to my most recent illness however.

     I worked at Interstate Baking Company for about 10 years prior to the plant closing a few years back. They made Wonder Bread and Hostess products right here in Buffalo, NY.

     Most recently my boyfriend, Jim, and I are about to purchase our first home. We're very excited. Our plans are to marry and raise a family here in WNY.

     Trying to be brave and stay healthy enough until I can receive a kidney transplant. Doctors say I'm fairly young to be diagnosed with CKD but believe it may be something hereditary or a condition which predominantly occurs in black people.

2/9/10 - Much has happened since I last registered here.  Valentines Day will be my first anniversary since I've been diagnosed with CKD and began dialysis.  My botfriend, Jim, and I purchased and moved into our first home.  We are now proud Cheektowaga taxpayers.
